Our Story.
At Red Dirt Ranch Six, family and land are at the heart of everything we do. Both of us grew up in the country, and when we came together, we knew we wanted to raise our kids with the same values — a hands-on life close to the earth, growing our own food, and living as off-grid as possible.
Our blended family of six reminds us every day that blood doesn’t make family, love does. The ranch has given us space to raise our children with hard work, adventure, and the kind of resilience that only the land can teach.
Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas, our land carries a rich history — once a cattle ranch more than fifty years ago, now reborn with us. The red soil here stains our boots and our jeans, but it also nourishes the land and the animals that thrive on it. That’s how our name came to be: Red Dirt Ranch Six.
We’re not trying to reinvent ranching. We’re doing what families before us have done for generations — caring for our land, raising healthy cattle, and feeding our community. For us, it’s about integrity, authenticity, and legacy.
When you bring our food to your table, you’re becoming part of our story:
one of family, perseverance, and the deep connection between land, animals, and people. Together, we’re building something worth passing down — to our children, and hopefully to yours too.
From our family to yours, Thank you.
